Recommendations for hair/make-up around Detroit?

Hello all! I'm searching for a good salon to get my hair and make-up done for a pre-wedding celebration being thrown by my FI's parents this summer in Detroit. We had engagement pictures done in the area, and for that I went to 6 Salon in Brimingham. I loved the blow-out I got there, but while the make-up turned out well in our photos, it was a bit too heavy for my liking and would definitely be too over-the-top in person (and it made me break out afterwards).

I wouldn't be opposed to returning to 6, but I'd also like other recommendations if anyone knows of somewhere great. I'm not looking to spend lots of money, but I do want to look and feel extra great for this event. I'm not from the area, so any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!!

I don't have any info about a place where you can go, like a salon, but others might.

Summer is prime wedding season, if the day you need to book anyone is a Saturday, you may have a difficult time.
