Wedding Bands??

I am looking for a wedding band for my fiance.  We have looked a few places but havent really found anything that we liked.  We decided that we would let eachother pick out our rings and be surprised on the wedding day.
Does anyone have any good places that aren't too expensive?  Or, has anyone ordered bands online?

I'm getting ready to order my FI's band from Blue Nile. I liked their rings the most out of all the ones I looked at. They are pretty basic and have a wide array of price points.

FI's nicer wedding band (White Gold) is from Jared in Novi. I don't recommend them though. His everyday ring (Tungsten) is from Ashley's Jewelry when they had a big sale a few month's back.

If you do order online, make sure you at least have your FI go into a store to find out what size he is. We ended up ordering two rings from Ashley's because the first ring we got was too big.

We got DH's ring from Rogers & Hollands.  He picked out a tungsten carbide ring and loves it.  It was only about $200 w/ the warranty (they cannot be resized b/c of the metal, so they order a new ring if he ever needs a different size, or has to have it crushed off).

The only thing to be mindful of when ordering online -- what happens if your FI needs to get it resized?  Or redipped if it's white gold?  I got my wedding band online because I got a crazy good deal (I paid less than 20% of what it appraised for).  But FI knew he wanted white gold and the rings I found online were only about $75 cheaper online than in-stores.  We decided we would rather pay that extra amount so that we can get it resized and redipped locally versus sending it somewhere.

With that beind said, we have had great experiences at Diamond Castle Jeweler in Novi.  They did a custom design for my e-ring based on a picture that FI took in.  Also, they do all their resizing, soldering, etc. on-site.  They can even redip on the spot so you don't have to send your ring out to get that done.

We got FI's wedding band from Orin Jewlers in Garden City when they were having a trunk show.  It is a Tungsten ring and the other girls are correct, you can't have Tungsten resized so you'll definitely want to make sure you know his proper size.  The ring is beautiful and was affordable.  Here's the pic that's in my bio for an example.

FI got my e-ring and wedding band together from the Blue Nile website and we couldn't have been happier with them!  I had to have my ring resized so I had to ship it back to them insured and it took a couple of weeks to get it back.  The local jewelry stores said they would need my ring two weeks also so I figured I just send it back to where we got it.  It was a seemless process but is no fun being without your ring for that long.

We got both our bands from Lucido's in Sterling Heights, and they were great.  His band was too big, and we had the correct size 2 days later. Hubby got my engagement ring from the Miner's Den in Rochester/Royal Oak.

We bought FI's ring on Amazon.com, LOL.  Great price, free shipping and easy returns.  We got my wedding band there too.  His is tungsten, which can't be resized anyway, so that didn't factor in for us.  If his finger size changes drastically in the future, we'll just buy him a different ring!  Pictures in bio under vendors.

Also got FI's ring from Ashley's Jewelry, it is very nice, but I did have the same issue as Jen.  I ended up sending the ring back twice to get the right size.
