Re: Confessions/Vents

    I guess I'll start.
I want to vent that it seems like my company hiring standards are moronic. They hire people off the street as managers and then the subordinates have to show.them.everything. On top of that, they don't seem too interested in even trying to learn their job. They're more interested in scheduling lunch dates and asking you what time are you going to lunch and leaving early.

I'm also frustrated with the whole hiring process for all jobs. FI has graduated last year with his degree in Accounting but can't find a job because he doesn't have experience. How do companies think you can get experience if no one will hire you?

    UGH!!! end.rant!

I know how you feel. UGH is right!!!
I graduated with a MA in Museum Studies in May 09 and still can't get a job in my field. I have years of experience and education, yet even an entry level job is not out there. They say I don't have 5 continuous years in the field. Well, if no one hires me, how am I ever supposed to 1) get my foot in the door and 2) get that experience necessary for a job I went to school for. I hate this economy. Is Canada any better? Seriously considering a move!!

I am so frustrated with work right now too! I have been teaching for 5 years and this year I still don't know what grade I will be teaching yet! We have open house on August 31 and I would like to get my room done! But there is only so much you can do with out knowing WTH is going on next year! I know I am fortunate to have a job, but I wish others would get their stuff together so I could do mine!

Confession: I watched "My Fake Fiance" followed by Melissa and Joey last night on ABC family. LOVE. I feel like that is potentially embarrassing - or at least FI thought I should be embarrassed of myself.

Vent: Tomorrow I will hear back from the job I applied for in June - I'm going to be so upset if I don't get it. But at this point it has been so long that I feel like it's just never going to happen anyway.

I confess that I have an engaged friend I hate helping, because she always seems so ungrateful for everything anyone else does for her. I am so shocked that she's become such a brat it's hard for me to even give her suggestions. I feel like a jerk.

I love ABC Family movies. I am embarrassed about it. Have you seen the ads for the new show "Joey and Melissa" with those two? Every time I see the ad, I think of this movie.

Yes! They premiered the show last night and I was definitely tuning in lol. So far I liked it! I had some trouble because it is filmed "in front of a live studio audience" so there is a lot of annoying laughing going on but otherwise, I think I'll watch it again next week
