Park that allows alcohol

Hey!

We want to have our wedding outdoors at a park but are having trouble finding a park that allows alcohol. Does anyone know of any parks in Oakland County that allow alcohol?

Thanks!!

  • I don't know if belle isle is a park, but I'm pretty sure you can bring in your own alcohol (???)

  • Try Stoney Creek in Shelby Township.  I know that they have a tent that is set up there during the summer to have your wedding reception at.  GL.

Beverly Park in Beverly Hills allows alcohol. It is on (I think) 13 1/2 Mile rd just west of Southfield. They have a pavilion you can rent and real restrooms. They have rules you have to follow to secure it as a rental, but you'll have to check further into it. I attended a ceremony in the pavilion, the reception was elsewhere.

The venue where we had our wedding, Greenmead Village in Livonia at 8 Mile and Newburgh Rd is a city park. We used the chapel there for our reception, and the banquet hall (which only holds up to 100) for the reception. You can pitch tents outdoors for a larger reception (I believe) and you get the alcohol permit through the city of Livonia police dept. It's got lovely grounds and historic buildings, fabulous gardens.
  • I know I have drank at Stoney Creek...whether or not it was allowed may be a different story...but I believe it was, we were at one of the pavillions.
