NWR: Haunted Houses?

I cried when I watched SAW - but... I really feel like I'm old enough to go to a haunted house now. It just seems like a great way to get some "fall" in. I live in an apartment that doesn't allow trick or treaters or jack o lanterns, so I need to do something!

Do you girls go to any haunted houses or corn mazes every year? (& Do you happen to know any that aren't "piss-yo-pants" scary?)
What are your favorite ways to celebrate fall?

My FI and I do some corn mazes.  We try to find at least one that looks large and somewhat of a challenge and then just go.  We also always go to a cider mill.

As far as haunted houses I haven't found one to be really scary.  I always recommend Realm of Darkness to people who don't want a scary haunted house though.  It's interactive and not scary, just has some odd looking creatures at a few parts.

What kind of things scare you that would be in a haunted house?  I could possibly name off a few others once I know this.

Someone tell me a haunted house that IS scary... because I've never been. Every year FI and I try to find a new one that seems better but still haven't found a good one. I LOVE being scared, haha

And mmmm autumn. My favorite season. Filled with football, beautiful colors, crunchy leaves, snuggling to stay warm, hot chocolate, apple cider, pumpkin patches and corn mazes [: I just fell in love with autumn all over again while typing this!

There are a few near Romeo I've heard about that are good and not extremely scary. I don't recommend Erebus in Pontiac because it's scary as hell as I'm told (I'm unable to go because if you have a heart condition, which I do, you're not allowed in).

I love celebrating by carving pumpkins, baking, playing in the leaves with my kids, watching football and snuggling with my FI.
