Kinda WR: Dog kennel/dog day care

Our wedding shower is at my parent's house in Fraser on July 31. We are traveling by car and bringing our two furry children with us. On the day of the shower I would like to board them in doggy day care for the day and a kennel over night.

They currently go to doggy day care here in WI. So they are used to being with other dogs and playing all day. I just don't think it's a good idea to have them at my parent's house during the shower with 50 people and doors opening up constantly (they are both runners and one is a garbage disposal when it comes to food).

Does anyone have any recommendations for daycare and overnight kenneling near Fraser?

I don't want them to go to a daycare that kennels them all day, which seems to make it a moot point about sending them to daycare.

    I use Camp Bow Wow in Troy. That's about 10 miles from where you'll be. There is also one in St. Claire Shores which is about 7 miles. They are WONDERFUL! However, you have to bring your dogs in for an interview. Call them and see what they can do for you. Your doggie day care may be able to send the information on your pets to them. They are very accommodating!

    A girl I went to collge with and her mom run Bed and Biscuit in Clinton Township which is 15 minutes from Faser. I've heard good things about them.

    I second Camp Bow Wow. We send our dog there all the time. They are wonderful.

    Awesome! Thank you ladies :o)

    I will call both places tomorrow. Hopefully they will accept my furry daughters. They have been to two daycares and have had no problems. The first day care I loved to bits. I still keep in contact with the manager and she's invited to our wedding too. When we moved, we had to find a different day care, which sucked, BUT..

    we found a doggy day care by our new house, that the girls go to and absolutely love. Maybe Camp Bow Wow will take the recommendations from our day care place? I will check it out and let you know what happens :o)

    We have used Parkway in Clinton Township a few times and they always do a fantastic job!

    I recommend BarkAbout i think it's in Macomb....they have lots of fun stuff!!
