Yeah -
so.. I'm getting worried - mostly about all the knotties that are having weddings... will you leave us for the nest? Who will we ask our BURNING questions? Who will GUIDE us? Who will mentor the new knotties??? I know there are some of you that stick around. THANK YOU!!! But seriously - as I get closer to my date - I worry that I'll be responsible for telling knew knotties what to do.. but at least I have SUE? lol.


But no really.. you all aren't leaving, right?

oh.. and please note that I am ULTRA sensitive and emotional these days.. something about marrying the man I've loved since I was 11.. has me all misty most days. It's like I'm on bad Birth control or something. EVERYTHING wedding related makes me sentimental.. it's sad - people are talking about me. lol

LOL, I'm already drifting from TK...but not to The Nest anyway.  I'm quite overwhelmed with the wedding, and a few other things that are going on in my life.  But to answer your question, I think you'll always have a few experienced Knotties around.  Or at least some that come back occasionally to post.

you're probably right.. I'm not on as often as I was in the beginning either...it ebs and flows. I think I just had a little moment of panic. Of course it's natural for knotties to find new places to chance once the planning is over... but it's still sad... (wait - are those tears???)

First of all...don't worry about the emotion! It's normal (or at least it is for me!).  I cried twice at my shower, I get teary eyed hearing the songs we are using...we are in this together .

And as for me, I think I'll probably lurk a little and answer any questions I can help with...but I'll probably post less than I do now.  I think I'll  need a break at least from all wedding related stuff!  Don't worry, as Julie said there will always be wonderful knowledable women around here to help!!

YES!! That is me.. all my friends are getting engaged and I'm just as teary about theirs as I was about ours.. SAD!!!

Yup - I'm kind of addicted. As much as I want to leave ( because I need to focus on the next set of goals in my life) I can't. LOL

I'm almost sure the girl you recognize is my friend Shay/Canethia. She went to undergrad at UofM.

I know what you mean!  Just when I started to get more into posting on this board it seemed like everyone started getting married and leaving, or are making their way out.    Glad to hear you guys will try and stop by at least occasionally.

turns out, after the wedding you cant use the wedding as a reason you're having a hard time focusing. :P

Hey, I'll be here LONG past you Detroitgyrl. Have you introduced yourself on your wedding month board yet? The best part of that is all the knotties are getting married within a month of you, so even if the local board doesn't have a lot going on, the monthly board does. It's not all local gals, but still, everyone is in it at the same time.

I imagine I'll hit the 10,000 post mark before my wedding. I'm already over 2000.

Even I have been more focused on my job than posting during the day, which of course is not a bad thing economically. But I do shut down my worksite during lunch, like today, to update on the Knot.

I found all the old Knotties names I used to see on the Nest when I ventured over before... I was like "oh, there's that name! and that one too!" Kinda funny. I don't know if I can make the transition over there

I am around.  Most weekdays if I have a few extra minutes at work I'll check in on the board to see what's going on.  Like PP, I've been incredibly busy and have my step-daughter in town until the end of August.  I don't ever have time to go on the internet after work unless it's for something work related.  I'm spending all my free time with DH and SD.  But...I do check in, and if I see a question I can answer I usually will.

I was never a big poster but I still check in. I cant knot at work (meanies make us work) so I check in at night to see whats going on.
