So on Sunday morning fi and I went to register.
We had a great time at Crate & Barrel. They were nice friendly and so helpful. I loved everything that we picked out.
We got done pretty quick so we thought we would head over to Macys and get a start on that registry. It was a painful process. We sat down with someone who took way over 30 minutes to explain the registry process to us and she used about 10 of those minutes to try to get us to sign up for a credit card. They she walked us around the entire store. Even after I repeatedly told her we wouldn't be registering for fine china, flatware, and dishes she continued to try to get me to by showing me options I should register for.
Finally after all this she let us go on our own. We decided to start in the bedding department. It was beyond frustrating. Nothing was labeled properly so you couldn't tell how much anything cost. Then I finally found a set I liked that was pictured on an advertisement board. I looked everywhere to find all the matching pieces. When I finally found some they didn't have all the sizes and everything was everywhere. I then asked a sales associate if she could help me find the king sizes. Which I was informed that they should be there just look harder.
Then onto small appliances were everything was mislabeled and when labeled correctly told nothing about the product. No one was eager to help us in this department either.
At this point I looked at fi and said okay I am done. He agreed and we went to turn in the scanner. The women who originally helped us was amazed at how quickly we came back. When I explained why we were so frustrated she asked if I had asked for help. I told her yes and explained how all the associated were unhelpful. She then reminded us again about the credit card.
I really love Macys but am so unhappy about this experience. I don't think at this point we will be finishing the registry there. I don't want to send my guest into a place that is disorganized and employees are unhelpful to purchase me a gift.
