cupcake/cake shop in metro Detroit?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a bakery that does both cupcakes and wedding cakes in the metro Detroit area - ideally close to Plymouth. I know there are a ton of vendor reviews already, but I was hoping to be a little more targeted. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Sorellas in Livonia does DELICIOUS cake!! They do cupcakes too!

not sure how far they would be, i know they have a couple of locations.  cupcake station! they are amazing!

Nicole's sweet toppings--she does cake and cupcakes.  her prices are excellent

I don't know if cupcake station does cakes, but I would stab someone to get at one of their cupcakes.  Just sayin'.

I've heard Heritage Bakery, which I think is in Plymouth or nearby, is wonderful. I work in the area and we get donuts from there sometimes. A coworker recently brought in info. on them for wedding cakes and they had a wide variety of flavors, frostings, etc.

There is a Just Baked on Ford road also. I cannot remember what streets it is between. Maybe by Lilly?

Zingerman's Bakehouse in Ann Arbor. It's not the cheapest, but it's definitely worth it.

The cupcake station does delicious cupcakes and they do cakes as well. We are having their cupcakes for our wedding.Their prices are pretty reasonable, too. They are located in Plymouth on Main Street. They let you do a tasting as well which was awesome!

im having brooke from loveandbuttercream.com do my cupcakes, favors and cake for my wedding. she and my FI did jury duty together and she was talking about how she just started her company and whatnot and mentioned carrot cake cookies. my FI being the smart man that he is, got her card because he knows how much i love carrot cake.

basically two days after i contacted her she dropped off some samples of cupcakes, carrot cake cookies, peanut butter cookies, etc. to my house for free and they were effing DELICIOUS. 

needless to say we are going with her and she lives less than a mile from my home so that makes it even better. ive actually ordered goodies from her already for other little get togethers and everyone loves them. 

shes a local new business woman who just moved here from chicago so im all about helping her out. shes wonderful!

Thank you for your interest in Just Baked, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  All of our gourmet cupcakes are priced at $2.00 a piece in large quantities, or $3.00 a piece with custom decorations.  You are welcome to select as few or as many different flavors, and quantity of each flavor that you would like
 
We rent our cupcake towers for $40.00, which includes a 6" cake with basic decorations as the tower topper.  We just ask that the tower is returned to any of our (7) locations within 48 hours.  We can deliver and set up for you as well.  Our delivery fee is $50.00 (all deliveries come from our headquarters in Livonia rather than one of our retail stores).

This is the e-mail I got back from them when I inquired. It seems perfectly reasonable and is the best price I could find. I think it's really cool that they throw in the cake when you get the tower! Delivery is a little ridiculous but I guess it beats transporting and setting up yourself?
