How far did your guests have to drive between your ceremony and reception?  What do you think is "too far" to drive realistically?

it's literally down the road, turn left, arrive at location.

I think 20 minutes is about the most I would drive...or I would just skip the ceremony.

Ours is about a 10 - 15 minute drive if you don't take the highway.

I think it all depends on how well I know the person. If it's someone I'm really close with, I'll drive for however long it takes to get inbetween the ceremony and reception. But, if it's someone I don't know that well, anything over 45 minutes to me would be too much.

Ours is about a 10 minute drive from the ceremony to the reception. But then again our guests won't have to drive to the reception because we have a free shuttle from the hotel to the reception hall. I think most guests will take advantage of that and not drive themselves.

Ours is about 10 mins, but I would probably drive 30 minutes before I started biitching about it.

My ceremony and reception are at the same loation. I would say the average is probably about 10-15 minutes. I would probably start getting irritated if I had to go more than 30 minutes or so from one location to the other.

Mine was about 25 minutes, but it was straight freeway driving. I personally would drive max 30 mins from ceremony to reception.

Like Brandi, mine is about 20-25 minutes away, but it's all expressway.  So hopefully no one will get terribly stressed out about getting lost.  I think 30 minutes is a good max.

DItto everyone else - 30 mins is the most I think is reasonable.

Ours was about 15-20 mins apart.

I agree with everyone else for what's reasonable. For us everybody will be walking 3 blocks!
