Engagement Picture Locations

Where did you all do your engagement pictures shoots at? We are looking for somewhere that is going to look nice for fall themed pictures. Our photographer is in Milford so somewhere in Oakland county would be preferable. Thanks!!

Kensington Metro Park? It's huge and I am sure there are some great spots to nab some pretty fall pictures.

We had ours in the fall, at our wedding location which is Greenmead Village in Livonia. It's just east of the intersection of I-285 and 8 Mile, so not too far from the area you asked for. It's a Livonia city park, but an historic village and has lots of really cool older refurbished buildings and lots of gardens. It's open to the public during daylight hours, but you might want to call and make sure they don't have any events there when you plan on going. They have a small pond as well...........really a lovely place for pics.

We had ours in Detroit during the fall!  It was gorgeous because it was still "fall"ish, but it was urban at the same time.  I loved how they turned out!

ann arbor would be really pretty in the fall. The law quad is beautiful and there are other parks close by too.

What about downtown Milford? It's quaint, and I feel like there's probably also some more natural areas/parks there so you could get the quaint downtown background as well as more of a 'nature' background.

I always love Meadowbrook Hall and the grounds at Oakland University during fall. I think that'll be one of our locations, probably along with downtown Rochester. Still in northern Oakland County!

ETA: I just found out that Meadowbrook now does not allow any professional photographers on the grounds unless you're getting married there. Well, damn!
