Venues that allow you to bring alcohol and/or food

Hi,

I just got engaged in April and am beginning to plan for my August 2012 wedding. Does anyone know of any venues in the metro Detroit area that allow you bring your own alcohol? I'd also love to bring my own food, too!  In my search on the knot I have found one place so far. Any suggestions??
Thanks!

My sister is getting married at Silver Shores in Wyandotte and they now allow you to bring in your own alcohol, and my friend got married at St. Mary's in Livonia and they do as well. Not sure about food at either place tho!

I am getting married at the T Plex- the original model T plant in Detroit. Check it out at tplex.org. It is a very raw venue, so if you're not into that it probably won't work for you. but you bring in all your own vendors! I LOVED this because it literally saved us thousands of dollars and we are now able to do fun things like a photobooth. Also, the Belle Isle Casino allows you to bring your own, but I have not heard anything positive about dealing with the people over there.

Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you'd like more info :)

It will depend on how many people you are having........our venue, Greenmead in Livonia requires you bring in your own food and alcohol, they don't have services like that. All my vendor info and their contact info is in my bio below, links under "vendors". Their chapel and banquet facility only hold 100 though.

Plymouth Manor allows you to bring your own alcohol.  I spoke to them for my sister's weeding and they needed a min number of 200 guests for her June 2012 wedding. But, otherwise it sounded like any other month the min would be 150.

Also, Cobblestone Farms in Ann Arbor.  One of my coworkers had her reception there and you can bring in your own alcohol and food.

Thanks so much for your suggestions everyone!  In the next few weeks I hope to visit some places and book something by August.
