Is it to early to book for an august 2013 wedding? When are you guys going to start the process?

I just booked on Monday for my August 2013 wedding, and two of the venues I looked at already had my date booked! I say the earlier the better!

Me and FH got engaged in September and booked everything by October. By booking early you get the better rates. We also wanted August 23 because that is our anniversary!

Its not too early. I am looking for Sept 2013 and most places I have called already had been booked for all of sept.

We already have our photographer and church picked, and as soon as we decide between two reception places we are booking all three next week. I think it depends on your area but in most cases I don't think it's too early for the big stuff. We are going to wait until closer to the date for smaller things and to make final decisions on colors, dresses, flowers, etc.

I don't think its too early we heard the earlier the better. Our wedding day is Aug 11, 2013 and we booked our venue last week.

We have ours booked as well, we are also making an apointment with the caterer soon because she said peple are booking into Aug 2013 already. I don't think its to soon

Depending on your location most vendors open up booking two years in advance.  If you have your heart set on a date I'd get right on it!  We don't have very many options where I live for venues that will hold over 300, when we went to my favorite place they had ONE weekend left for Aug 2013 (and this was last SEPT!)  

BUT, double check and make sure you understand their cancellation policies if you decide to change your date!  Some places no matter how far out you are don't refund deposits.
