In lieu of Christmas gifts this year, my friends and I were thinking of going to wine/tasting bar...any recommendations?

    Try Cork on Woodward in Ferndale/Pleasant Ridge or try Tallulah in Birmingham (I think it's on Pierce). These are my favorites. IMO, Vinotecca in RO is overrated and cramped.

    Cork is AMAZING.

    I think Plum Market has a good wine selection and may offer tastings. I know the wine director and sommelier who used to work for Matt Prentice Group (Coach Insignia) is now at Plum Market which is promising.
