Need help finding a church for our ceremony

My fiance' and I are getting married on May 26, 2012.  We have booked LaRoy's for our reception site, but have not yet booked a church for having the ceremony.  Our problem is that we currently live in Portland, Oregon so we can't really go and check things out for ourselves right now, so we are hoping some of you can give us some tips on what churches near LaRoy's Hall or in the Monroe, Michigan area allow you to rent their church.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you all in advance!

I would start calling.  I'm living in Seattle and needed to find a Catholic church near Livonia, MI and so I went on the archdiocese website in addition to the yellow pages and called every single church in a 20 mile radius until I found one that would marry us.  It was a few hours of calls but we ended up finding a great location  that fit our needs.  Good luck!

Also, you can look at the sticky on the Detroit page (the posts at the top with the pins next to them) of Vendors and look to see what churches people on here used.  I think at least 2-3 of them are in Monroe.

My fiance and I are starting a wedding planning business called Brides on a Budget or Weddings on a Dime. We are helping out brides right now by offering our services for a much lower rate. The  business will "officially" kick off in Jan. 2012 .

We had to plan and pay for our entire wedding ourselves because my mom is deceased and his parents are not helping. I have learned so much and doing all that research (hours and hours and hours) was so worth it. The tv shows and magazines make you think that you need to spend thousands of dollars in order to have a nice wedding, but you CAN have a gorgeous, amazing wedding on a budget. I understand it can be very stressful and time consuming planning a wedding from afar too. Feel free to email me with questions and I can definitely give you referrals for people. We design cakes (sketches to give to the cake places) and also do centerpieces, but I have great vendors and suggestions for everything!
