I had to read the FAQ's page to figure it out because I had no idea what it was either. 

Basically, people anonymously submit their secrets.  In the original post secret, it looks like they mail in post cards.  In The Knot version, you make an electronic picture w/ text and email it in.  

Yeah, I wonder how much of this is real too.  If there's one thing this website has taught me, it's that some ladies love their MUD (made up drama)!

I definitely agree that most of it is made up.  Although it is sad to think that at least some of the cheating/not loving their husbands is real.
