Someone told me there were some once, but I am going to guess even if you found one, it wouldn't be worth it.  Usually all-inclusive hotels are in places where you don't want to leave the resort much.  There is so much to do in Hawaii that you'd be missing a lot if you just stayed at the resort.

Are you looking to keep costs down?  FI and I are renting an oceanfront rental in Wakiki for 8 nights.  Total cost was $1,174 -- so less than $150 a night.  And that includes all taxes and cleaning fees.  You don't get a lot of luxuries of a hotel (maid service, on-site restaurants, etc.), but we're steps away from the beach, we get two sets of linens/towels/etc, and a full kitchen.  Check out my bio for more info.

I second the rental. We are going to Maui and our 6 night condo is costing is $600 (great place, renting directly through the owner, right across the beach, not the greatest view but oh well...wedding budget). It also came with beach chairs, umbrellas, towel, boards, etc. Check out vrbo.com. We plan to cook breakfast and a few dinners to save on food costs. Also our 1 week car rental is just $200, there are a lot of places to drive to in Maui and fun excursions to do, so we compromised on the hotel.

This was our idea to cut down costs too.  We don't want to go out to eat 3 meals a day -- for money reasons and we also don't want to gain 10 pounds!  We figured we could find a grocery store and pick up a few items so we could eat breakfast at our place (toast, nutrigrain bars, etc) and pack some lunches when we go to the beach.  Of course, we will still enjoy nights out and splurge here and there, but we are also on a wedding budget!

what island are you going too?
Last year we went to Hawaii, Hawaii (the big Island) and stayed at the marriott. It was not all inclusive but we got an good deal on hotwire and it was beyond AWESOME. We toured a bunch of the hotels when we were there and it was the best for the money.
It was funny everyone kept assuming we were on our honeymoon.
The Hilton is the biggest hotel on the big island but I thought it was a little too man made.
    good luck!!

I think someone told me there was an AI or two in Hawaii but I agree with the others, I'm not sure it would be worth it.  We are going to Hawaii in November. We are staying 4 days in Waikiki and 8 in Maui (Kaanapali/Kapalua). I did A LOT of research and talked to a lot of people that have honeymooned there and picked places that best suited us.

We never ran across any AI's in our planning, but a condo seems like a great idea- everything in Hawaii is expensive- we were charged $2.25 for a CUP of coffee at one joint. A lot of the travel sites recommend grocery shopping because they have to fly everything in. Plus their sales tax is like 13%. Whew.

We stayed at Marriott's in Maui & Kauai'i- loved the one in Maui, Kauai'i not so much, but they wanted $22 for a hamburger. We stayed there because DH had Marriott points so we basically stayed free.

I highly recommend these books by Andrew Doughty called "The Ultimate XX Guidebook." I say XX because there is one for Maui, Kauai'i, etc. They had a lot of great tips for finding cheap stuff and places the locals go. You can find them at half.com pretty cheap.

We booked through a travel agent who is familiar with the area and she said there isn’t much all-inclusive in Hawaii.

We did stay in one on the Big Island but it was VERY expensive – it was a wedding present so that’s how we were able to swing it.  Our rate was $550/night – by the previous posts you can see it’s not economical – others have condos for a week for that rate.  Everything was included except alcohol.  But it was AWESOME (so much so that we want to splurge and go back some day) so if you’re interested check it out – it’s called Kona Village.

When you pull in there’s a guard shack that notifies the resort that you’ve arrived and there is someone at check-in waiting for you with a mai tai and leis and a warm welcome like you’re with family.  A bell hop takes your bags to your private hut.    Each hut is private.  We said we were honeymooners so they gave us an ocean view hut.  There’s no air conditioning so we slept with all of the windows open and could hear the waves from our room.  There’s also no radio or TV and they ask that you don’t use your phone in public areas of the resort.  This sounds crazy but it was so awesome to unplug for a few days!  They have a beautiful pool and their beachfront is on a little lagoon so you can snorkel in that little protected area. All water sports gear is included in your fee.  And if you want to leave the resort, they will pack up a lunch for you.  Oh, and the luau is included – that’s about $120 value for the both of you.

Again, crazy expensive but….pretty much all-inclusive. Good luck!

Im somewhat in the same situation.  My Great Aunt has a timeshare in Hawaii that she said we could use for the Honeymoon, just pay the taxes ($400) and we would have to cover our flights.  We would be there 7 days, but I was thinking about going somewhere All-Inclusive. FI & I usually go somewhere every year and the thing that we always complain about is how much we spent on food & drinks (we are eaters, breakfast, lunch & dinner!).  Im trying to decide if we should take her up on the offer, or look for an all-inclusive????? Then any money we take can be used for Tours, activities, etc.
