Both www.projectwedding.com and www.weddingwire.com are good sources for reviews on all kinds of vendors. I checked both sites for you and neither have any reviews of amour photography... so checking here is obviously a good place to check too.

There are tons of photographers in the metro detroit area for all kinds of price points....if you have any doubts about your photographer it may be good to interview one or two more just in case so you are confident with your decision.

    Good luck :-)

I heard something but is quite awhile ago and since I haven't seen the photos I don't want to judge.
The best thing is to interview them extensively and make sure you will like being with them all day.
Then check a couple more photogs to have someone to compare to.
Are the photos important or just an extra?
I've heard a lot of couples cutting costs with their photography, video or DJ after spending 10 - 20 grand.
Then they look at their pics and they're unhappy.
It's just me but trying to save $500 - $1000 after spending all that money for a so-so photographer doesn't make sense.
Photo and video is one of those things where you usually get what you pay for.
I hope the best for you.

I have heard good things about Amour photography...but only for people using the owner, Amy.  If that is who you get, then I would recommend her, but if not....I don't have much to offer.  GL!

Shrades you are thinking of PureAmour photography. That is the one with Amy as the owner. Amour photography is a different company.

I am using Amour Photography for my wedding in four weeks. I had booked with Judy  (the owner is Amy, but she had another wedding booked for my date allready). I met with both of them and they were great. I really liked thier style and personalities. I just found out recently that I am going to have both of them at my wedding because another wedding got cancelled. So my experience has been extremely positive, I will be able to give you more information in four weeks after my wedding. I thought that for what I was looking for at the time of booking, it was exactly what I wanted and the price was there too for what I was looking for.
