Monday Accountability

How have your diets and exercise been this past week?

Mine were decent, especially considering my mom and sisters were in town this weekend and we ate almost every meal out. Not to mention all the wine we drank! We did go to the gym together on Saturday and Sunday, so that's a positive.

My biggest challenge is finding easy meals to cook that are still healthy and taste good. What are your goto healthy recipes?

Re: Monday Accountability

  • I am maintaining my exercise and diet regimen.   I am down 2lbs this week.  I set up an immediate, interim, and ultimate goal for my weight loss at 20, 30, and 40 lbs respectively.  I am 3 lbs away from my immediate goal (YAY!).

For meals I don't have a set  menu or use recipes.  My discipline for that is sorely lackly.  Instead what works for me is portion control and making sure I include fruits and plenty of water into my daily diet.

    Love is the ultimate superpower.
It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.

  • I have been ok this past week. The worst part was Friday night Mexican food/margaritas. But my exercise has been great considering I am finishing up p90x and also training for a half marathon. Just have to get the eating under control. My biggest weaknesses are alcohol and going out to eat.
I don't have lots of recipes per se, I usually just grill or bake chicken with good seasons dressing or pam/seasonings.

  • I have been successfully maintaining my weight through my diet and exercise habits.  Luckily my FI and I did WW together last year before we got engaged and lost 50 lbs each, so now we just have to work to maintain our losses.

As for healthy go-to recipes skinnytaste has a lot of great ones.  We just made her Lighter Eggplant Parm last night and it is delicious.  We also love her chicken enchiladas.

  • This week was good, Got a lot of excercise in, including biking and walking the dog. I have a marathon I am running in this Saturday so I will be prepping for that almost every evening this week.

As for eating wine is my weakness. I went grocery shopping though and picked up enough to make a few decent salads. Eating healthy sucks.
  • Hi ladies!

Sunday went well with my healthy eating, but Saturday Cubs game drank many beers and had a nacho hat.... BUT at least I got up early and ran for an hour before-hand?

As far as recipes, usually everynight my FI grills some kind of meat and I make a big salad or veggy.  This salad is super healthy and delicious:  it's my go-to:  arugala salad, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, Mozzarella cheese (I buy the balls that are soaked in liquid and cut them in half), then a tiny bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar and pepper.  Super lo-cal and amazing.

  • Sounds like all you Brides have the same roadblocks as me! Wine, Beer, Eating Out, Gatherings, etc.Foot in mouth

I do pretty good with my tracking but I need to up my exercise.  I really really like Jillian Michaels and need to get back doing her DVDs!

  • Sorry ladies I have been MIA!! We were on vacation and with limited access to internet. I logged into myfitnesspal.com and logged in today what I have ate for breakfast. With that said- going forward starting today I will start logging my food intake and my exercise. How everyone is doing well. :)
