Does anyone know a nice place with gardens to take pictures around metro detroit area?

Is this for your wedding day pics?

There are fabulous gardens and buildings at Greenmead Village in Livonia (8 Mile & Newburgh Rd intersection). We had our wedding there, and it is a public park so you can have pictures taken any time. If there is a wedding going on (on our wedding day there was actually another couple taking pics, LOL) you may be limited in your ability to get pics in front of the chapel, but the grounds ARE lovely. And no one charges you.

We also had our engagement pics taken there. Our wedding was in August, the engagement pics were taken in October, and both times the annuals in the pots were lovely, and the gardens and grounds are kept up nicely.

A lot of people go to Belle Isle as well, though I'm not sure if they have gardens.

I haven't been here myself but look at pictures of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. It looks like it has beautiful landscaping and gardens. Not sure if you are allowed to use the grounds for photos only but its pretty.

Cranbrook or Meadowbrook. Belle Isle doesn't really have gardens. it does have a conservatory, but it's obviously indoors.

Just a heads up, with Cranbrook there is a fee to photograph on the grounds, you will want to call in advance.

Where roughly are you looking for?  Metro-detroit is a large area and there are TONS of parks all around that you could use.

I just called Meadowbrook today and they no longer allow pictures taken there.
