This probably isn't the route you're planning but I DIYed mine - ordered paper from cardsandpockets and did all the design and print work myself.

I ordered them through my cake lady, but they were Carlson Craft... I ended up finding a design online that I loved and was able to customize it to fit my wedding perfectly.  Look for Carlson Craft vendors that offer at least 40% off, my cake lady ordered them at no profit for her.

I DIYed mine with a Brides.com kit from Michaels

I am also trying to figure this out... I am not sure if I should just order them already done...make them all with cardstock etc...or use a brides kit... Was the brides kit easy to use?

Oddly enough I'm ordering them through Party City.  They have a TON of options if you look there, and oftentimes will do them for 30% off the listed price.

We ordered ours through our reception venue. I think the actual invitation is being ordered through Carlson Craft, too. I would have preferred to DIY mine, but the invitations were included in the package we picked.

DIY from JoAnn's.  I used Wilton invites and attached a dark purple paper heart with ivory ribbon- with finding them on sale I ended up paying $0.18 for each invite!!

I got mine months ago on the sale table at Michael's. $5 for a box of 50 invites with 50 RSVP's and envelopes for all.

Etsy.com  (actually, she isn't on etsy anymore, but etsy is a great place to look for unique stuff)

WeddingPaperDivas.com has some nice things too.
