Popcorn Buffet Question

So we had planned on doing a popcorn buffet as our favors (similar to a candy buffet, but with popcorn)

Now our venue is saying that it will make too much of a mess and we can't do it. Did anyone else do this? And if so, was there a huge mess after?

I would think that a candy buffet would also make a mess. I wouldn't be to happy with them saying that. I've never heard of any one having an issue like this before.

Why don't you just pre-wrap & seal the popcorn?  They might compromise with that.

We had a popcorn buffet... no problems. I don't know what else to say that could help?

thanks ladies! Milsey, that was all I was looking for. I couldn't imagine that a large group of adults would make a huge mess with popcorn. FI is going to call back and see if we can work something out!

And fwiw, we had 10 kids under 10 (and 2 infants) ... they loved the popcorn, but were responsible.
