I have to write about it because I'm so thrilled. We booked Kirk from Secular Ceremonies. I e-mailed him back in October, but we just managed to find time to meet last night because FI works out of town and Kirk is apparently insanely busy lol
I can't say enough about how happy I am... We aren't Athiests, but we can't do a Catholic ceremony in the church because with FI's work schedule, we can't make it to marriage counseling. Plus, neither of us particularly wanted to do that. What I love about Kirk is that he's allowing us to completely customize our entire ceremony and incorporate a bit of Christianity into it even though he does secular events (he's a Christian minister, after all) but he's SOOOO not pushy about anything!
I'd say if you're still looking for an officiant, you can't beat him. He's only $275 for both the rehearsal and the day-of and will bend over backwards to meet up with you. He drove from downriver to St Clair Shores last minute to meet with us. Very happy :0)
