Hi everyone..........


I was wondering have any ever been or had a wedding at PI Banquet Hall In Southfield MI if so what's your experience and also how was there food.....

  • My wedding was there in February. Food was a hit, we did plated three course meals with salad then lobster mac and cheese and prime rib potatoes and beans for main course. for a regular banquet hall it is gorgeous with high ceilings and pretty decorations plus the price is great. However nothing's perfect and heres what I would have done differently- It's super hard to find for anyone that has never been so make signs to out by the road to help steer everyone and probably include something in the invites to get the guests there. Several people complained and even my mom got lost.

    Second- Tony (the owner and manager) is nice, good at responding to emails and meeting your requests however, he used to run restaurants and he still sort of runs this place like that. Meaning, he doesnt see certain things as important as a bride may. I used a company for my table centers and decs that set their own stuff up and I also used a DOC to help facilitate. We were told that those vendors could show up at a certain time to do their setup. When they arrived the room was no where near ready and I am still not sure why bc I wasn't there. I found out about everything after the wedding--- according to her there was some inappropriate arguing and swearing between the flower vendor and tony. There was no urgency to get things done which is disturbing. Thank god I hired a DOC so I never knew about any of this and the room looked amazing by the time the party started.

    I would still recommend using Pi based on the facility, price, location, and food but I would make sure you have total communication and understanding. And I recommend to every bride, at minimum hire a DOC!!! they are relatively expensive but can be worth so so so much more than they cost.

  • one more thing.....we wanted to do a tasting before signing a contract so he made us a bunch of different stuff (we requested what to try from the menu) and we paid a small amount like $20-30 for that tasting. Your contract also comes with a free tasting so we did the second which is actually the one we chose our food from....If you are worried about the food, request a pre-tasting!

  • I think we paid with credit card for the contract deposit and I think it was like $1000 maybe. however, any amount past that will get a convinience fee for using a credit card and i think it was like 6% so it's a lot. He's very laid back with contracts and food and stuff so if you needed to work on a payment plan, I am sure he will work with you.

  • ok I thought of another benefit of PI- you don't have to give your final count until the last 1 week before which is incredibly helpful compared to other facilities that want it like a month in advance.
