So how are we feeling this week?

I am in a blah mood. I am happy to announce that we are planning our honeymoon. FINALLY!

I'm hopeful this week that I will get some calls from the ton of resumes I sent out last week.

I'm a married lady just waiting on my pro pics.  We should have the edited version online in the next few days and I am so excited!  We're at the 2 month mark after and I'm ready to see them.

Hi!  How exciting that you are planning the honeymoon!  

I would say we're in the mid-planning stage.  I don't know how accurate that is though.  We have a few more "big" things to book and get out of the way.  Then we'll be moving on to more of the details.  I think we are still ahead of schedule in terms of check-lists, but according to my month board I'm falling behind a little!  Everyone is really getting into this planning stuff and are starting to leave me in the dust as I procrastinate away.

So far this monday is good, but I dont work mondays so they are always nice!

I've got 9 months to go until the wedding and I feel I have too much done! lol. Yesterday I'm excited to say I switched the bridesmaid dresses to a little black number I found at JCPenny's for 1/4 the price of the original dresses we picked out from Bari Jay!

Where are you planning on going for your honeymoon?

We are going to The Bahammas. I'm excited because this is one place neither of us have ever been.

Congratulations on the HM plans, Brandi! We're planning on doing what you are, one after the wedding.

Getting back to work after a family emergency last week. It will be nice to put in a full days work, I think. Don't quote me on that since it's still early.

Our second (and last) shower was on Saturday and went very well. I met two of FI's cousins (whom he said were his favorite) and they were so sweet. We'll be working on our thank you cards today to get out this week, along with our invitations. They would have gone out last week, but family had to come first.

We also got the security deposit back from our old apartment so we can do flowers now for the wedding (bouquets, bouts, decorations and CP's).

I'm feeling good! Had an awesome weekend and ready for a short week since I took a vacation day on Friday :-)

Not too much, getting settled in the house and enjoying our newest family member, Bingo. I suppose we're still enjoying the honeymoon faze. Next on our to do list...finish unpacking from the move.

Vacation planning is the best! When are you guys looking at going?

I'm feeling exhausted today, but other than that I have no complaints.  We went camping last weekend and I have about a million scrapes and bruises. It was worth it though!

I have less than 4 months to the wedding now and I feel like I should be doing more, but a lot of it can't be done this far out! Our invites will ship this week so I am really looking forward to seeing them!

Yay Brandi!  When are you guys thinking about going?

We have a few big vendors left to book (Florist, Cake, DJ) but that's about all.  I met with 2 florists last week so I'll make my decision once I receive the quotes.

Then we only have the DJ and Cake to book which shouldn't be too difficult.  Although I'm having issues with how much the cake might cost.  Todd really loves those cake shows so I know he's going to want a fondant cake but those are about double-triple the price.

Other than that just working on the smaller details (signage, favor bags, etc.) so that I don't have to worry about it later.

my weeks are always blah. i work nearly everyday and never see any loved ones/friends.  the positive is that i wake up everyday. :oP

as for the honeymoon phase, we never really had one because we put my childhood dog down aka my world,  three weeks after the wedding (although we made the decision and appointment at the 2 week mark), so there's really no dreamy feeling. DEBBIE DOWNER! lol

I am excited this week.  We are going on a nice long camping trip with friends this weekend.  We went took a bit of vacation time, so it will be a 4 day weekend for us!!

Very early on in the planning stages for me.  But today is 600 days till the wedding.  LOL!  Still looking at places for the reception.

Well, I'm down to the wire now   I have a little bit of shopping and wrapping left to do on my end but nothing I can't handle.  Now I'm just waiting on my printer to finish the programs so we can assemble them, as well as our favor box stickers so we can get the boxes all ready to go.  Other than that, I'm pretty well ready!

I have a meeting with my DOC tomorrow and have a WHOLE bunch of payments coming due in the next two weeks...ugh.  I'm getting really excited and happy for my turn to finally come!!!!!

I'm in the "can't these next 3+ weeks just hurry up and get over so I can be finished with this whole thing" stage.  I'm mostly done with everything, just have to do the programs and escort cards.  I have the next two days off so I'm hoping to get a lot done then.

Today has been rough and it is only noon! FI left with my keys this morning so I was late for work and I had a meeting so everyone was looking at me like I was crazy when I came in late since I am always always on time. My boss is getting on my damn nerves too

Met with a photographer this weekend and he was old but my FI likes him(because he did his sisters wedding). I hope he likes the other people we have appts with or we are going to have a tug of war over the photog.

The linens lady was supposed to send me a sample of all the linens I ordered (I paid her  $30 for the sample kit) over a week ago and she still has not sent them. She is supposed to bring them to my job today but still no word

Gosh my day kind of sucks but I am still here and kicking so it could be worse

I'm pretty good this week.  we had a nice relaxing weekend, so I'm ready to get into it and be productive this week.

as far as the stage of wedding planning.....I'm thinking 'final frenzy' would be the best way to put it.....

Last week was so crazy but now that I'm back on the west coast it should get back to normal for me pretty quickly. Being an OOT bride I'm going nuts. My MOH is finishing up my shower invites for next month. I think I'm going to start thinking about gifts for my BMs and maybe start getting my invites ready to go out in the next couple weeks. I still don't feel like I'm getting married in two-ish months. Its CRAZY!

Woohoo on the honeymoon planning, Brandi!

It's weird- I'm not sure what I expected, but being married has basically been the same as being unmarried. Besides having to do 5 tons of paperwork to change my name and referring to Keith as "husband" all the time! :)

We're working on finishing half of our basement to make more room in our condo, and after that we will FINALLY be able to switch out some of our stuff for the new stuff we got for the wedding.

I totally wish Monday hadn't come and maybe I just had another day at home. That would have been nice.

All of the big things are booked and taken care of, just working on the fine details and trying to keep my mother sane

Yeah! Honeymoon planning! I put my final deposit on mine this week!

Planning stage- I don't even know. Been engaged for a year, have some big stuff booked, still a lot to do tho!

Brandi, big wooooooooooot-woooooooot for you, planning your honeymoon! So glad you finally get to do that.

Also, thanks for addressing a post to "Everyone", and including married & planning ladies in it.

We auditioned 4 caterers last week, still waiting on 3 of them to send proposals. We really like 3 of them, and we can discuss them, pro & con, once we get the quotes.

I'm thinking I'll get my own linens/tablewear/tent/dance floor instead of having the caterer do it. I did a spreadsheet and compared 7 different companies and there are 2 that have the best prices. But I'll see what the caterers show me first on the quotes.

I'm emailing a photographer to check into a meeting and/or discussion.

After getting the photographer & officiant, the only things I'll have left are the cake and limo..........with over a year left! Silly me.
