Photographer Question

I recently contacted Amanda Williams, but  even with a year and a half notice she is booked! I am interested to see if there are any other ladies that have tried Amanda and found that she was booked, and who you decided to book with. I have been researching a ton of photographers, but none that I have come across have the same style as her, within the same pricepoint. There have been one or two that could be considered comparable, but the packages don't come with any prints (this may not be a big deal to some folks, but it seems odd to me!).

I have looked through the stickies and vendor reviews, and it appears that photographers can be flexible with the package prices, but I am worried that since we are having a summer wedding they will be less likely to move on price.

I would strongly urge you to check out Sandy with The Camera Chick!  She is wonderful!! Superb pictures, wonderful customer service, and excellent prices.  2 photographers automatically come with each package and so do engagement pictures! Check her out on facebook or www.thecamerachick.com

There are a few of us who are using her and love her! If you want more info let me know!

I have a meeting with her Thursday! I actually contacted her based on your recommendation. I checked out her website and I was not crazy about the format. I thought the pics were kind of hard to see, but you liked her so much I though she was worth a shot!

I love love love Jen & Rob Huebel! They're also doing our engagement photos (free if you book them for the wedding) and Jen's going to be doing B photos with me for FI's surprise gift. ;-)

Like you mentioned - they are one of those types of photographers that can be flexible with cost. I just really appreciate how easy going they are, which is reassuring to someone like me who stresses out easily.

    I second Adam Sparkes!

Pure Amour Photography or Benjamin David photography!  They were my final two - Amanda was booked on my day as well (went with Pure Amour, and very happy with my engagement pics).

And, as long as you get rights to the print the photos on your own (i.e., the high-resolution photos on disc), having prints in the package might not be that important.  You can print them by yourself pretty inexpensively!

I third Adam Sparkes!!! We had our e-session and had an awesome time with him and his assistant! Plus the photo package is very very reasonable!

Another vote for Sandy from The Camera Chick.  I didn't end up booking her due to availability, but thought her work was great and her prices were reasonable.  Good luck to you!

I love Pure Amour Photography, and she starts at just $700 including rights to all the photos! It does depend on what style you like, but to me Pure Amour was much more my taste (as far as artistic shots and editing goes) than others.

I am booking with Milton Harris at Metro Media - http://www.metromediavideo.com/.

For about $1,800 I'm getting the wedding/reception, e-pics, DVD with printing rights, an engagement pic at my reception framed with space for people to sign around the pic and a professional hard cover photo album of about 70 shots and video.

She was booked for my date too. As well as Sandy at The Camera Chick. We ended up going with Lovella Photography. Lindsey and Brandon are super nice and flexible as far as packages go. They have a nice mix of photojournalistic pictures and traditional posed pics.
