Calling all future and past Wellers Brides (Saline, MI)

Hello-

I'm looking to chat with some other Wellers brides...past and future!  And if you haven't booked your venue yet, I would suggest checking out Wellers during their open house every Saturday from 11am to 1pm!!

Anyhow, we are getting married at Wellers on June 15, 2012 and I couldn't be more excited!  It would be so nice to chat with others about logistics...since we booked the Carriage House their are some unique logistic issues to tackle.  I would love to hear a recent review about the food (one that Wellers has not provided on their own website)...and I would just like to revel in the awe of how freakin' awesome I think this place is...with another bride (that way I can leave my poor friends alone!!).

So, anyone...Wellers?...Welllers?...anyone?

    I'm not getting married there, but I was there last night for a memorial service.  The gardens are really pretty.  The food was good, I liked the salad a lot.   I liked the chicken with capers better than the pasta (had tomatoes on it) which was a little bland.  I thought the shrimp appetizer was quite good.

    I was in a friend's wedding at Weller's a couple of years ago. I thought the food was pretty good- I don't remember a lot of specifics, but I do remember enjoying the chicken! It was a lovely wedding...good choice on the venue!

    OP, I am getting married there exactly 2 weeks after you are :)

    A friend's older sister got married there a few weeks ago, and he said it was the most gorgeous wedding he's ever seen (and that he wasn't just saying that because it was his sister's, lol). He said the food was AMAZING, the bartenders were awesome, and everything flowed really well.

    I'm getting married there August 17, 2012!  We booked the Carriage House as well.  It is beautiful there!

    My nephew was married at Wellers.  They were married outside and the gardens are very pretty.  They did bring in some flowers for the backdrop.  They had passed horsderves and they ran out quick and did not replenish.  Not good. The dinner was wonderful and the bar was quick.  It is tight to have 168 people in.  I also did not like the way they had a room almost like separate for guests and who do you place in the rooom.  Some were hurt.  They had valet parking and guests were tipping and that was not good.  I'd make note not to as it is taken care of when you get the bill.  Overall it was said to be one of the best people had attended.  Just a few things to consider.  It gets a B+ to A- by me.  People very nice to deal with also.
