DOC question

Hello ladies! I was just wondering how far in advance did you book your DOC?

We booked ours about 7 months out, but I'm getting married on 9/10/11 which is a really popular wedding date. It really depends on if you want the DOC to just be there the day-of, or if you are looking for more extensive wedding planning.  There are typically three levels of service:

-Full out planning of the entire shindig
-Partial planning, in which the planner comes in halfway through and helps wrap up things
-Day-of planning which they show up and keep everything running smoothly for the day

If you want planning on the first two levels, the earlier you book the better.

I think about a year ahead. But then I chose one of the highly recommended ones, and getting married in August I was afraid they'd already be booked.

I booked about a year in advance because I knew I wanted her and didn't want to risk her being booked for my date.

Thanks for the info! Wasn't sure how far in advance I needed to book if it was only for the day of. I'm getting married July 2012 so I guess I should get on that. Thanks again!
