Hi Ladies,
First of all, everyone is so helpful on here, i think thats so awesome! I am getting married next october (semi-firm on the month as my sis is getting married next june!!!) my fam is all in the detroit area; I live in seattle. I was wanting a rustic wedding theme, LOVE blue dress barn, too far; LOVE MSU tollgate barn, booked, same as misty farms and cobblestone. Is there anywhere else google isnt telling me about that I can  have that same feel to my wedding? I really appreciate any and all help!!!

Welcome howford to the Detroit board. Yes, everyone here is friendly.

We had our wedding at Greenmead Village. However, it's not rustic (although there are cool buildings including a barn on the property, only the chapel and Alexander Blue house are available to rent). They also have a max capacity of up to 100 in each, so if you are having 120, it would not be a viable option unless you wanted to have a tent, and October weather can be iffy.

 You would have to call to get rental info. Not sure the building itself is rustic, but the area is.

If you're flexible on the location, I'd recommend the Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing.  The barn fits around 150 and you can bring in your own vendors for catering, etc.   There is also a gazebo on the property that would work for a ceremony.  My fiance and I looked at it, but it ended up a bit too rustic for us.
