I cannot afford an expensive videogrpaher.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about finding either someone just starting out looking to build their portfolio, or an inexpensive one in the tricity area (Michigan)?

You should post this post on Michigan's board.

Try calling the arts department at a local community college or university. They can often suggest exceptional students that would be willing to do it for cheap to build their portfolios or experience. There may even be a teacher that is looking to make a few extra bucks and have a day free to help you out.

I am using Jason Teets at Ikonic Images.  His contact information is in my bio.  He has outstanding work and is the best price around (I DID TONS OF RESEARCH).  If I remember correctly his lowest package was right around 400 bucks.
