New to the board--Hi!

Hi ladies,

I wanted to introduce myself! I just got engaged a week ago and am beginning to plan. We're hoping for August 4, 2012  in Ann Arbor. It's nice to meet you all!

Right off the bat: any ideas for reception sites in the area that allow outside catering?

Welcome and congrats! At the top of the board there is permanent post called "Vendor/cost/reviews" which has the information on all the vendors all the local brides have used or secured. Weed through that first and see if you have specific ones you want to ask questions about.

Looking forward to hearing all your plans.

Hi and congrats on the engagement! I am getting married in the A2 area as well. When we were first looking at venues, we were leaning toward Mattaei Botanical Gardens, which allows outside catering. And it's gorgeous there!

:Hi, and welcome!  I was married in Ann Arbor in August.

I was not looking for a place to bring in my own caterer, so I am not that familiar with your options.  A couple that come to mind are Cobblestone and Misty Farms.  As other said, check out the stickies - my vendor reviews are all in there, and they all work in Ann Arbor (although just about any vendor in SE Michigan will work in Ann Arbor - and the ones from elsewhere tend to be less expensive than the ones based in Ann Arbor.)

    Good luck!
