Another TMI Tuesday Question

What are your thoughts on wedding night sex?  Is it a must do?  An unrealistic expectation?  Did you or are you planning to?  Will it upset you or did it upset you if you do not or did not?

It is a must for me. I have told FI this many times. If I do not get laid on my wedding night I will be pissed. I don't need anything fancy just have sex with me lol. I've got some stuff planned for the honeymoon but that's like a wee and a half later.

This is funny because FI had just talked about this to me last night. The first thing he said when I got home from work was "I read this article online that 52% of couples do not have sex on their wedding night!"

I told him that it was probably true, considering how busy the whole day is, you probably are exhausted by the time you go to bed. 

His response, "We ARE having sex that night, whether or not you are awake for it is your own problem."

He's so charming.

It's not something we've discussed. Knowing our track record with long days/nights, I wouldn't bet on it.

Shoot, FI's all excited about an after party that his BM is putting together for their friends who will be in town and I told him that I'll have been up all day, in a tight, heavy dress and that he better be prepared for me to be ready to go to sleep the second the DJ packs up.

So, right now I'm saying likely not, but who knows. Maybe the excitement of the day will have me still coherent at 1 a.m.

Clearly, I'm the charming one in the relationship.

I think we will. Will it be amazing off the wall sex, I don't think so. I'm sure that will be saved for the honeymoon.

We keep joking that maybe we will sneak out of the reception because our hotel room is only a few feet away and get it on real quick.

We had sex on our wedding night but like LOTON mentioned - it wasn't amazing off the wall sex... I was super tired (and I'm sure he was too). 

The HM on the other hand... now that was fun since you have no obligations!

Stephlove12, our situation is reversed.  I am the one saying, "you WILL have sex with me on our wedding night!!"  I even told him he does not have to get off, just get it up and I will take care of the rest!!  I am not expecting anything major but want something.  He says we will be to tired from all of the excitement, and perhaps to drunk.  He also read the statistic that only 52% actually do.  My sister and her husband did not and she was pissed, but he needed to be carried into the hotel room because he was so trashed.  I refuse to let FI get that bad. 

Obviously the HM is where the fun happens!

Didn't happen.  Not even close.  I think I was technically asleep before we even entered the bridal suite.  And I don't regret it for a minute.  WhatEVS.

We decided 2 years into our dating relationship to wait until we were married to have sex...so it was a pretty big deal!

I worried we would be way too tired and all that. But we weren't and it was great (nothing crazy, but very romantic), I know DH would have been so mad if we wouldn't have had sex that night.

I'm not really worrying about it either way.  Would I like to?  Definitely, but I was a guest at an all-day/all-night wedding this weekend and we were EXHAUSTED after it....so I figure that was just as a guest...I can't imagine how tired the bride and groom were!

I hope it happens! It's going to be a long day though so if it doesn't happen that night, I know it will the following morning! 

Oh, and we've already decided that there will be minimal drinking that day. We are spending a crazy amount of money for 1 day, we better be sober enough to appreciate all of the hard work that is going into it. I was at a wedding a few years ago where the bride & groom were so drunk they were puking and had to be escorted to their hotel before the cake was cut. 

I'd be mortified if that happened to us.

I hope it happens but if not it won't be a big deal.  We leave for our HM the next morning so there will be plenty of time then.

not a chance, totally didn't happen.  We also stayed up the entire night though to catch an early flight so it was a few days into our honeymoon before we were fully recovered.

It'd be nice, but I somehow doubt it. My FI tends to go a little overboard with alcohol so I imagine he will be a little too drunk by the time we actually get back to our hotel room. We're sort of planning to be at the reception till 1am so I think we'll be completely zonked by the time we get to bed.

I'd like to, but we'll see what happens. We're leaving for our honeymoon early the next morning, and I know my wedding party has said they had plans of pulling pranks if we get a hotel room. SO I think we're going to trick everyone, tell them we're staying at a hotel but actually just go to our home, sleep in our own bed together the night of the wedding, if we have sex, great. Then leave early for the honeymoon where we will bone nonstop for a week! hahah
