Alterations Ann Arbor

So I've checked the stickies and I don't think I saw anything nearby besides Bella Alterations in Livonia. (also my michigan geography sucks so i might be missing obvious other burbs).

Anybody know anything about alterations in the Ann Arbor area?  I need to get my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding taken in asap ... (oops... dropped the ball there).

I'm also hoping this will be a good way to scope out a seamstress for my wedding dress (real silk...my one splurge in an otherwise carefully planned wedding....http://www.theknot.com/wedding-dress/bliss-by-monique-lhuillier/bl0915?src=res)

Hi! I just recently moved to AA area and only place I have really heard of is Nonpareil. I've emailed her (Michelle) a few times about wedding dresses. I was going to inherit one from a family member and wanted to see if she could give it a total make over into what I wanted. She seems very helpful and knoweldgeable although I have never actually been to the shop or met her in person....my advice is to definitely do your own research and see what else is out there, but I hope this may help in your search!

I have had suits done at Tancy's Tailoring in Saline, and she's excellent and very meticulous.  After the first attempt at my suit, it seemed fine to me, but she didn't like the way something sat over my hips, so she fixed it.  I really appreciate that she was willing to critique her own work and do the best job she could.

I have never taken a dress there, but I have seen her work on wedding dresses.  Saline is about 5 miles from Ann Arbor, and her website is here:

I have had alterations (not a bridal dress, just a simple hem,) at both Sofia's (? It's on the west side,) and the alteration place right next door to Mimi's bridal. (I liked that one, cuz they quoted me a price, and I successfully argued them down a bit!)

Check out the alteration shop on S Industrial next to the laundramat.  Sorry can't remember the name.
