I GOT A JOB!!!!!

For those who don't know, I graduated from U of M's nursing school in April and have been looking for a job ever since. I finally got one on Tuesday! It's at U of M hospital on a neurology unit! I start the 12th   A HUGE weight has been lifted financially and we can actually pay for the wedding now! Woo hoo!

Ummm... our furniture is being delivered tomorrow (hopefully). It was our first 'big' purchase, so it's somewhat exciting.

Oh...I know... I was inside of a UPS truck yesterday! Part of me think it's illegal but part of me is just glad I wasn't raped.

The people I work for have a big bay window so if I'm sitting on the couch, I can see the front yard/street. Now, I've ordered oodles of stuff before but I've never been home for deliveries so when the UPS guy drove up honking the horn, I just assumed I should go outside (considering he could see me through the window and I think just sitting around would be weird). 

I stood on the end of the driveway, while his truck was parked on the street and he was trying to find the package in the back. We made small talk about the icy roads (this was yesterday, btw) and how since it's Christmas season so he had a lot of packages and they were all thrown around in the back of his truck. He also said "Oh you didn't have to come outside!" (then why did you honk??)

He found the package, scanned it, and reached out his hand. I assumed he was going to give me a handshake. He pulled me into the truck so I could see the hot mess in the back. I WILL agree that it was crazy (all the packages) but my heart literally stop. So awkward. So creepy. On the brightside... I've been inside a UPS truck?

-Ordered most of the supplies for our DIY kangaroo pocket invites!
-Found an awesome website to order bulk burlap (for table runners)
-Almost have all of the addresses for our guest list (waaaay harder task than I once thought)
-Guest list is finalized with 287 invited...yikes!

and we're almost 5 months out!!  Time is flying by!!

Well, FI and I have been living together for a month now, and the transition has been pretty smooth. Our cats were/are way more stressed about the adjustment than either of us have been. Also, now that we're in the same place we've started our marriage prep stuff for the church. It was close, but I just found out yesterday that we were able to get into the courses in time to complete everything by their deadlines (which are a lot more strict out here than the Detroit Archdiocese). Big relief. 

I also booked my ticket to Detroit for the holidays this week finally. Managed to find one for under 400$ too!
