Where to shoot engagement pictures?

I need to make an appointment for our engagement pictures and don't have any ideas as to where to shoot the pictures?!?
 I live in Southwest Macomb County, so Wayne, Oakland & Macomb would be fine.

Where did you have your engagement pictures shot?  Thanks!

    We did ours on Belle Isle in Detroit.  I have some pics in my bio.  They definitely made for some cool photos.

    Hi! There was a similar post a few days ago titled "epic inspiration". Lots of replies and links to pics so you can get some ideas. Also, ask your photog where they recommend. Eng pics are so much fun! Post back and tell us what you chose :)

    My photog told me about a place behind Eastern Market that has a lot of graffiti art.. I'm going for the urban look so it sounds great. Haven't done the shoot yet though.

    Where did you and FI meet? Or is there someplace you two go often?

    We're planning on taking some photos at the summer camp we met at and then possibly going somewhere else. Our photographers (married) had their own engagement photos done in an empty movie theatre because that's where they had many dates - it was pretty cute. [:

    I would check into an apple orchard... we took our engagement photos on the fall when they were all packed with people so it didnt work out for us. We ended up taking our at a golf course, from most of the shots you wouldnt know that's where we were though. If you went to an apple orchard this time of year there wouldnt be much traffic and if you waited a month or so it will look like Spring!

    We took ours at Greenmead Village, which is at 8 Mile & Newburg rds. It's where we are having our ceremony & reception. I'm an east sider, he lives in Livonia, and our photographer from the Saginaw area did not mind meeting us there. They have historic buildings, lovely gardens. It's a city park, open from sunrise to sunset every day, I don't think you need any special permission.
