help with gift ideas

I am trying to figure out what to get for my bridesmaids. There are two things that I want to do.. but I am unsure which one.

Option 1) Personalized cosmetic bag filled with travel size Burts Bees products and manicure set.

Option 1) Personalized wine glass with a bottle of wine and a nice cheese tray (not with cheese, but to put cheese on).

Also, I was thinking doing Option #1- and then surprising them the day of the wedding (before ceremony when we are in the bridal room)  with the wine glass and sharing a bottle of champage.

Thoughts or suggestions??

I like option 3 (option 1 + day of toast w/ personalized glasses), but make sure to bring something that they can safely store them in. It gets hectic the day of and you wouldnt want them to get lost or broken.

I would much rather have a personalized cosmetic bag than a personalized wine glass (which wouldn't match the rest of my set, etc.)  Also, if anyone is flying, keep in mind that the wine is hard to deal with on a plane.

Would they all use a cosmetic bag? I don't wear enough make up to need one so I'd feel bad that someone got me it and it wouldn't really get used...

Only you know your bridesmaid's best. Hard to determine what they will treasure.

I got these mini-emergency kits for my BM and put them in matching silver satin clutches that I bought all of them (pretty much everyone needs a small black or other color clutch for dressy occasions)

They went NUTS over them when they opened their bags. The chapstick or whatever that came with it wasn't very much, so I bought Burt's Bees lip balm in Watermelon color for all of them and inserted it into their mini-kit.

I got wine glasses for everyone at my bachelorette party on etsy - everyone loved them!  I also did the wine thing as one of the presents for my BM's Remember that they can't take it on a plane if they are flying unless they check their bag.  I had one bottle sent to my friend in california, but my friend from pittsburgh had to check her bag to take it since You can't ship liquor to pennslyvania.

So, I decided I am going to go with Option #3. I found some really cute bags on Etsy. For the wine glasses, I will get them as a surprise for the day of. Noone is traveling, so that will make transport a little easier. I can find some little boxes for them.


I feels so nice when things get accomplished.
