Ceremony sites in Livonia?

Does anyone know where there are good ceremony sites or places to take pictures in Livonia.  Our reception is at Burton Manor and we were originally going to have the ceremony at a temple in West Bloomfield.  There is a long drive, and we don't have time to spare for the night because the earliest the ceremony can start is 7:00pm due to religious reasons.

Also, does anyone know of any pretty parks to take pictures near Burton Manor?

Are you looking for a church or an outdoor site? How many people do you need it to hold? There's Greenmeade Historical Park in Livonia. They have a cute little chapel, but it only holds about 50 max. You can also do something outdoors there I believe.

We are having our ceremony at Holy Cross Lutheran in Livonia. They allow non-member to rent out the church.

For pictures, you can go into downtown Plymouth or Farmington. Both downtowns are very nice.

    Welcome Liz12110.

I second Greenmead, it's where we are having our ceremony & reception. Link here:

The chapel is non-denominational, and holds 100. Pics of the grounds here, which are gorgeous, and kept up by the city of Livonia. Great place for pics.

If you are expecting more than 100 for your ceremony, they will allow you to put up a tent on the grounds. Not sure of the cost of just putting up a tent, but the chapel is about $300-$500 by itself. We also rented the banquet room in the Alexander Blue house, so both together were $1000 for a Livonia resident, plus 10% of the catering cost (not including alcohol).

You could also check into other parks in Livonia, they have several pavilions available for rental (not sure how nice they are), plus they might let you put up a tent there. The pavilion at Rotary Park, with electricity available, seats 100-200 people.

    Hope this helps you.

We are looking to have 180-200 people.  I'm pretty sure my parents would be opposed to a church as we are Jewish.  They have also expressed they do not want to rent out a tent/chairs for an outdoor ceremony with no indoor back-up due to weather.  Because of these two things, I am completely lost for ideas

For pictures you could try the Wilson Barn on Middlebelt between Plymouth Rd. and Joy.
