Hey everyone I was wondering if i could get some recommendations for a good DJ. I am meeting w/ Mike Staff productions of Thrs so any ffedback on them would also be appreciated

I met with Mike Staff and they were great. People rave about them too. Plus, they will show you a few clips of who is available for your date and then you choose. I ended up with Mary Ann Productions only because I really wanted to have a relationship with the vendors I'm working with...I was a little turned off from having to see a 3 minute clip of my DJ and then having to pick....I wanted to meet and know my DJ. Just a personal preference though :0) The sticky above is also a great place to look to see who everyone is using! GL!

I'm using Tony Rice from Music Box Productions.  I LOOOVE him!  MBP has a website where you can see videos of their DJs and their biography.  I found that very helpful...plus MBP came highly recommended to me from a few of my friends who are already married.

Ditto Kim on Brenden with Best DJ.  He was the DJ at our friend's wedding and he was one of the first vendors we booked.  He also comes highly recommended around here and I can think of at least 4 other Knotties who are using him.  Oh, and his price is amazing.

We are using Mobile Rhythms DJ.  Joe is the owner and is also doing our wedding.  We met him at a bridal show our reception hall was hosting.  I had done a lot of research before hand and he seemed like one of the best for the price.  We didn't want to spend a ton of money on a DJ but we also wanted one that would keep the party going all night.  They offered a lot of packages with flexibility, and gave us $100 off our package. He's very down to earth and willing to meet you anywhere to go over his company. He's professional, very prepared, knowledgeable, and overall a very nice person.  They also offer online requests that our guests can complete before the wedding which I thought was a nice touch.  He had been recommended by knotties that had gotten married when I was engaged in 2008. He is really affordable and I also use to work with him at DRQ. He was a DJ there and also a DJ in Saginaw at WIOG. I have known him for 6years and he did my friends wedding and I was really impressed. He is also doing my wedding this year. Funny note he used to work for Mike Staff Productions. I used Nightbeat Entertainment, Johnny Dutcher.  He was amazing!!!  He has a huge song selection and will get songs if you request them and he doesn't have them.  He was very personable and kept the evening going, my guests loved him!  He was affordable to.  He is in Grand Rapids, MI but he came to Livonia(no extra charge) for the reception.  He spent alot of time with me picking out songs (good suggestions too).  He also spent time with me getting to know the wedding party and parents to make sure he pronounced everyones name correctly when we made our entrance.


Also I would recommend Masters of Ceremony-Landan Vick, I have been to several wedding he has DJed and he has been a blast.  He is out of Novi I believe.
