RSVP Card Question

I’m so excited, our invitation went out in the mail the other day!  I can’t wait to start getting all our RSVPs back!  I had given my mom and dad their invitation early because I just couldn’t wait.  She mailed theirs back and I got it yesterday but realized that I messed up just a little.  No spelling mistakes thank goodness, but I put on there choices for dinner so we know how many people want chicken, beef or vegetarian but I forgot to include a line so they could put their names next to their choice so we know who wanted what. I know it’s not a huge deal but I really want to put something on the place card so the servers know who got what and didn’t have to ask.  Plus who remembers what option they picked for dinner over a month ago?  Obviously if there are two people on the card and they both pick beef then it’s a no brainer but should I call/e-mail people who I can’t tell and find out what each person wanted?  Any suggestions???  Thanks!

My friend did the same thing...  I got a text from her clarifying which of us wanted beef and which wanted chicken.  Some people may realize this mistake and correct it themselves and there may be a lot of couples who want the same meal which would make it easier.  I would just worry about it as the RSVPs come in and contact them whichever way is easiest -- phone, email, text, etc.

I did the same thing on our RSVP cards but happened to catch it before I put them in the mail. Julie's suggestion is what I would have done had I not caught the mistake.

On our RSVP cards, our printer put:

    ___ Special dietary needs

    instead of

    Indicate special dietary needs ______________________

It looks more like a check box, but I am hoping people will realize they should also list their special dietary needs.  If not, I will make the calls.  I am not sure whether this mistake fell on my mom who placed the order, the vendor who sent the order in, or the printer themselves.  And I really didn't care that much and didn't want to make a stink about it so I just left it as is.

Thanks ladies! I know it will be ok and we can just call or e-mail anyone in question, but I can't believe I did that.  I do events for work and should know better. I think I'm just getting overwhelmed.  I have a work event the Wednesday before the wedding and another big one the Thursday after my wedding.  So I'm actually planning three events right now.

Julie - Yay for being date twins! We are going to have awesome weather :)

Julie, we got alot of people that put funny stuff on the special dietary needs line. We got a ton of "beer" as a dietary need. Some requested cranberry and vodka, some requested Mikes Hard Lemonade. It was funny.

LOL, we're expecting that, too.  Especially with some of the smart a$ses in our family.

At first, I thought it was weird that The Meeting House required that.  But then I was talking to my friend who is a vegetarian and she said she eats before she goes to weddings since she never really knows what they'll have there.  She won't even eat out of the buffet because she's all about the animal cruelty (PETA) and is worried about the cross contamination of utensils, how it's served, etc.  I am glad that I can accommodate everyone at our wedding.  Heck, we're paying so much per person, it'd be a waste if they didn't even get to eat dinner!
