Rehearsal Dinner

I am from the Utica area but have live in New Hampshire for 4 years now.  I am getting married in June in Utica and need to find a place for the rehearsal dinner.  My fiance wants anything but asain and mexican food.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kim

There are tons of restaurants along Hall Rd between Van Dyke & Groesbeck.

Andiamo's (great Italian food, plate service)
Bucca di Beppo (family style Italian) haven't eaten at this one, but did in DC, great food

Here's a link. Although it's for "Sterling Hts", the south side of Hall Rd is Sterling Hgts, the other side is Utica/Shelby Twp

We're doing ours at the Alibi in Rochester, but in Sterling Heights/Utica there is Buca di Bepo and Champps....

Ditto the others that have posted about the Hall Rd. restaurants. A coupole other options are:

Red Ox Tavern (also on Hall Rd..has an area that they could block off for you). Great food!

    O'Charley's (Hall Rd and I-94)

We're having ours at Villa Penna Restaurant in the private bocce ball room.  They have lots of menu choices starting at around $10/person and up.  It's a private room with your own bar (and bartender) plus two big bocce ball courts and TVs.  I was very excited when I went and saw it in person!  Very nice and affordable.  Here's the link:

I second Villa Penna!  We are having our reception there and love it!  You don't have to use the room with the Bocce Ball Courts either, they have a private room where you could hold a rehearsal dinner.  George Penna is really easy going and great to work with!  They have Italian food or you can do pizza.

I also love the food at Andiamo's.  They have great Italian food but a little on the high end.  There is plenty of parking, but a lot of times you have to walk a ways to get in the restaurant.  Some nights they do offer valet parking though.

Roosevelt's opened a while back.  They have more bar type food if that's what you are looking for.  The food is good and they are pretty reasonably priced.

We are doing Dave and Busters out there on Hall Road and M53. Our rehearsel dinner is on a Thursday so we are doing the Eat and Play Combo so our guests will get dinner and a game card. We got a private room and are paying for alcohol. That way people can hang out afterwards too if they want.
