Need a ceremony site!

Hello all... need some ideas!

 We need a place to have a ceremony in the metro Detroit area that isn't outrageously expensive.  We are having difficulties because of the following:
1) I am Catholic, fiance is Methodist
2) Would like my Baptist uncle to marry us (which will not definitely not be allowed in a Catholic church)
3) We currently live out-of-state and therefore cannot be members of a church in Michigan

If you have any suggestions, I would be more than happy to hear them! Thanks in advance

I'm using the Concorde Inn at Hall road and Gratiot. Clinton Township. It's $600 to rent the room, like $710 with taxes and fees. Not to bad. It's a BEAUTIFUL promenade with lots of windows.

It depends on how many people you are having. There is a chapel at Greenmead, the historic village in Livonia where we were married a couple of weeks ago. You can see pics and contact info in my bio below. However, the max capacity is 100 people.

There's also an historic chapel in Troy, but I recall that also has a max capacity around 100.

We are inviting 250 to the wedding and I am not sure how many will show for the ceremony.  I did look into the Concord Inn but they did not have my day available!! Thanks for the ideas- I really appreciate the help.  Jen

We are using Oak Arbor Church in Rochester. It's absolutely beautiful! The fee is $900, and you can use your own minister (they need to approve the person first, but they are pretty laid back). It can seat about 300-350 I think. We are inviting about 220 and I think it'll be perfect. Oh, and we aren't members either.

That's another place we looked into!  That place does look really nice but they didn't have the day we needed available.  It's a year away and everything is all booked up! Thanks for the post- I appreciate it!!!
