@janicejab We're doing a Mackinac minimoon in August! We found a pretty awesome 2-night all-inlcusive package with the Island House Hotel for $947. That includes the stay, breakfast, lunch, dinner, a carriage ride, champange and strawberries, fudge, discount coupons for island shops, round-trip ferry tickets, parking, and taxes. Not too bad considering how expensive the island is! Just thought I'd throw that out there. Good luck! :)

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Honeymoons : Go to Kauai!! You won't be disappointed. It's gorgeous and a great place to go if you want to do some hiking. I highly recommned hiking too, because a lot of the trials lead to waterfalls! It's also quiet so it might be nice to do in the middle/end of your trip to wind down a bit.

We were originally planning to only go to Maui (we took this silly online test "which hawaiian island are you?" - it said we are Maui). But then everyone said to go to Kauai for a few days. I am sooooo glad we decided on this. Kauai seems to be a little more quiet and way more tropical and private island-ish. We're starting the HM there because we figure we will need to relax. Then hop on Hawaiian Air to Maui for fun :)

Great choice! You'll really love it. Even just driving around the island is nice and relaxing. Fair warning, though....they have wild chickens on the island so sometimes you hear cock-a-doodle-doo-ing. Apparently there was a hurricane a long time ago that scattered them about. :)
