Printing Invitations: At home vs FedEx, Staples ets

I am trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to print my invitations off my own computer or have them done. For those of you who printed them on your own, how did they turn out? I bought the Brides Invitations from Michaels and I think my fiance can figure out how to print them but I just want to see what would be cheaper/ turn out better. Thank you!!!

It depends on the quality of printer you have. I printed ours at home and they turned out great (everyone thought they were bought and not made!) but I have also seen some printed at home which are such good quality

It would be cheaper to print them yourself, and probably a better quality based on the work I've done at the Kinkos by me. I used to print a lot there for school and pretty much had to do it myself at my local store.

I printed my future sister in law's invitations from Michaels on my HP Ink Jet and they came out great! Just install a new ink cartridge before you start to guarantee you don't run out of in mid-invitation!

My DIY turned out great, and I had a lot of compliments on them.

Bought Anna Griffith invites from Michaels with the intention of printing at home. My printer did not like the odd size of the invite or RSVP cards. The Brides brand uses 5x7, which printers do acknowledge.

Office Depot charges 10 cents per page to print the invites, I had them copy a sample.
I returned my unopened boxes and ended up using 123Print instead though.

Very happy with 123Print.  Reasonably priced and easy to work with!
