Monday Accountability

How was everyones week in terms of diet and exercise?
I did pretty good, somehow finding time to fit cardio into most days, but I need to work on strength training. Diet was decent, but kinda fell off the wagon over the weekend. Its hard when your girlfriends are in town! Last week was really hectic worked over 60 hours and I ended up skipping a few meals, which I know is bad! I need to work on keeping convenient snacks with me at work so that I can still eat even when I don't have time for a full meal. I did manage to lose two pounds since the last time I weighed myself, which was probably a really long time ago because I can't remember when it was!

What kind of strength training do you all do? Do you have any suggestions for good videos or websites?

  • I am down another 2lbs for last week.  I was able to stay on my exercise program last week.  My Zumba class includes toning with weights for 30 minutes.  We do a variety of moves incorporating yoga and pilates.   My diet was okay until the weekend as well.  Saturday was good but Sunday I lost it and had birthday cake and cheetos.  LOL!



    Love is the ultimate superpower.   
    It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.

    my week for working out was good made it to the gym mon,tue,wed, thur and fri sat and sunday i didnt step foot i the gym although i wanted to go on sunday but i was just dead.. saturdays i refrain as i waitress as my 2nd job and im there all day sat and runnig around as it it.. diet wasnt too bad until the weekend.. ugh gotta learn how to controll the weekend eating hahah although its ok to cheat sometimes lol as for strenght training i switch it up i do legs one day arm and shoulders an other day and backs another day... pretty much use the machines they have pull ups, tricept dips the usually. I think I am going to get back into my p90x i like those vidoes better for strenght training

  • This week went well. I ran a marathon on Saturday, other than that it was just the usual bike rides and walks with the dog. So far so good :)

    my week went pretty well - I gained .2 but I'm not too upset. I stuck with my exercise and have to check my inches (hopefully lost some) because I just finished p90x. I'm planning on continuing my running and strength training with a rugged fitness groupon I got. I'm excited to try something new after 90 days of p90x.

  • Congrats on the marathon - that's so awesome!

    I had a good week last week. Four elliptical workouts and lots of "weight training" - we're building a garage, so I spent most days lifting, moving lumber, hammering etc. I'm working on finding an actual training plan to add to my cardio - but my goal has just been to establish a workout routine again, and I'm happy to say that I'm doing just that...

    Food has been good. Soft drinks are my nemisis, and I'm finding that since I came back from vacation I'm just not enjoying them as much as I used to. I'm drinking more water (plain and sparkling) as a result. We are incorporating salads into practically every supper, instead of just one veggie. Eating has never given me much pleasure, so making healthy choices and feeling good about them is a new thing for me as well.

    Now that we've built the roof trusses and floor, wall construction is up next, so that's more moving and lifting.
