Brotherhood Winery Reception Site

Hi, Just wanted to see if anyone has ever attended or have had an event at Brotherhood Winery? I'm interested in checking it out as a potential reception site for a lower budget wedding with about 150 guests? I'm really interested in: Location - is this a nice place (I've actually never been) Service Pricing Food - is it any good? Appreciate any feedback and also if anyone knows of a better winery venue for a reception in the hudson valley that might be better? Thanks!!

I often visit the Brotherhood Winery and last I heard the event venue they were building wasn't finished yet. It is located in the middle of Washingtonville which is a small town (which differs from the other HV wineries because they are out in the middle of nothing!). It doesn't grow its own grapes on site, so no photo ops in the vineyards. The winery itself is very nice and the wine is amazing!I would also suggest Warwick Valley Winery! Good luck.

I would suggest West Park Winery. It's not technically a "working" winery anymore, becuase now they only hold weddings and events there. But they have a beautiful property and it's pretty reasonably priced. They have a lot of different options and cool little things like wine favors. The only thing is I had a hard time getting in touch with them on more than one occasion. Link: http://www.westparkwinery.com/index.htm

I live in Washingtonville. I've never been to an event such as a wedding at the Brotherhood so I cant speak to that.  It will be troublesome to find hotels in the area since it is in a small town, the closest hotels are at least 20 mins away. The grounds of the winery aren't the most beautiful. Their is a mansion on the grounds which people like to visit, but I've always just thought of it as a touring winery.  I'm sure that there may be some other wineries in the area that might suit a wedding better.

I was there a couple of months ago and the restaurant/reception site was still under construction. The winery is pretty, and they do have great wine and champagne (the Blanc de Blanc is especially good). I have no idea of pricing, but there are some great wineries in the Hudson Valley with various price ranges. Google the Shawangunk wine trail. In particular, Benmarl has beautiful views and Stoutridge has a newer, modern building and distillery and nice grounds. Good luck!
