FI is being an army man and I am being a police woman, actually according to my costume it's the hottie police lol. I'm excited I would've never been able to pull this off like 2 months ago, but now I can, I'm estatic =)

I think we are going as 70's ppl. Although I could not find my moms dress she use to have from the 70s at her house so I'm bummed. I actually saw the same exact one on the 70s show once.So now I am hoping I can fit into my old bell bottoms (when SUPER flares were in like years ago lol) and go to SALVO (Salvation Army) to find a top and something for FI.

I unfortunately have to leave for work at 6 am the day after halloween so no going our for me on Saturday. But in a couple weeks we're going to a Costume Party, my FI is being a race car driver (not a real big stretch b/c he is one anyways, he's wearing his firesuit) and I am being a "Race Girl" one of those Leg Avenue race costumes.

We're dressing up as an '80s rock band with some of our friends. basically we're all wearing awful wigs and questionable '80s fashion complete with neon accessories. i'm wearing a torn up ACDC t-shirt with leather leggings and ridiculous makeup. (sky blue eyeshadow is a must.)

Dan and I are going as Smurf and Smurfette.  I'm so excited for this costume.  I've been wanting to do this one for a long time.

I'm going as a vampire from True Blood (I even ordered the True Blood drinks off of HBO's website to complete the costume) and DH is going as a "fangbanger" lol. If you watch the show, you will totally get it! I am a little too excited for this dress up...

Love it, Amy!  Let me know how the True Blood drink is.  I'm kind of curious...

I will Kristin! I can't wait to try it. They give recipes for mixed drinks to make with it, so I will be all set! Watch for the pictures that will be going up on facebook lol.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for the pics.  If Dan and I didn't already have our costumes together, my friends and I were going to be Merlotte's waitresses.

Last year we had really elaborate costumes, but this year we were hugely lacking in mojo...until last night. The night before Halloween. Mike got a wild hair to go to Halloween Adventure (the main store for costume shopping here in the city; open year-round). We waited in line outside for half hour JUST TO GET IN so we could wander the aisles to get some ideas. Eventually we settled on two totally unrelated costumes. Mike's going to be a bee. It's hilarious. There's nothing unusual about this bee costume, which is part of what makes it so funny. It's just a grown man wearing a very run-of-the-mill bee outfit. I die. I'm recycling several pieces from my costume last year and am going to be a ringmaster (tux coat with tails, red gloves, top hat, etc.). I have not yet decided if I'll be a female ringmaster (in which case I'll whip up a tutu this afternoon) or a male one (in which case I'll paint on a wiry moustache).
