I loved my dress the minute I laid eyes on it. Nothing I saw elsewhere made me feel as glamorous and beautiful. The drapes and folds of the dress provide visual interest without overwhelming you with beading and ruffles. The shape is flattering and subtly sexy. I received so many compliments from people of all ages (that's when you know you've got a classic!) I was so sad to take it off at the end of the night! The structure of the dress kept me in all night, without need for special undergarments. It is form-fitting and takes some care to sit down, but I had no problem dancing the night away!
The rich "Oyster" color is like a light champagne color, which is very flattering and glamorous. It is made from beautiful, buttery polyester satin.
I bought a sample size 12 that we altered to fit street size 8 (37" bust, 29.5" waist, 33" abdomen below naval, 38" hips). The dress was hemmed for 5'6" height plus 4" heels. The train was about 1" too long in back, would have had it trimmed a bit.
The chapel train felt like the the most regal part of my attire. The rest of the dress was so modern, I adored this one princessy indulgence! The bustle we created was a simple asymmetrical two-point sweep which matches the structure of the back of the dress beautifully. It bustled in just a minute, and I loved the line it created!
Lots of structure here, but it still swept and moved great. It has a "seat-belt" inside closure with hook and eyes, and a hidden zipper with satin buttons down the back. Boning provides support and a beautiful shape. (You might even say "bow chica wow wow.") Cups were sewn inside the dress, under the lining, to give support without a bra. There is a full satin interior lining and netting to give trumpet skirt shape.
I wore this on my wedding day and it was cleaned and pressed professionally after wear.
There is one tiny spot on the bodice (photo included) that you can barely see. Just wanted to put that out for full disclosure. You have to be really close to see it!
