Wedding Classifieds

Is this a scam?

I posted a listing to sell my wedding dress here in the classifieds, but also locally on Craigslist.  I received one response a couple of days ago to the Craigslist posting from someone who said they were planning their wedding last minute out of town, and would send a mover to come and package the dress for shipping along with a certified check.  I asked them to call me since I was unfamiliar with this method of sale, and rather than calling me they responded with another e-mail pretty much saying they were really busy and they wanted me to send them my address so they can pay me and get the dress ASAP.  The e-mails were all in broken English, and given everything else this all seemed a little sketchy to me, so I chose to ignore the e-mail and figured if they wanted the dress that bad they could call me.

Today I received two more e-mails from two different e-mail addresses, both saying they are out of town brides and would send movers to ship the dress along with some sort of certified method of payment.  One of the e-mails is in broken English as well.  The other e-mail actually offered to pay me extra to remove the posting right away.

So my question is, is this a scam?  I personally have never heard of having a mover come to ship a dress, so I was curious if anyone else did something similar to sell or buy their wedding dress.  But I wanted to be sure this isn't a popular way to sell a used wedding dress when you aren't doing so locally, and I was just unaware of the usual process.  I would love to hear everyone thoughts.
