The DJ Company

I am interested in reviews for people who have used The DJ Company for DJ services.  I am meeting with them next week and I am just up in the air about who to chose for a DJ!  It is such an important part of the wedding and I want to pick the right people.   Thoughts????

Hi There!  I'm using the DJ Company and I like Ryan alot.  All I've encountered seem very talented and I've heard nothing but good reviews.  A few bumps to let you know about...I did have a situation where we needed to clarify that payment was received in full, similar to another knottie.  Just make sure you keep your cancelled check, as they've switched accounting systems.

Also, I was informed during our final visit that my DJ would be coming with someone to help with the heavy lifting.  The problem with this is that its another vendor to feed ($55), which I thought maybe they would have offered to pay for since I didnt request 2 DJs.  Also, they did mention tipping during my appointment, and I wasnt sure that DJs got tipped, so I guess it was good to know this.  I originally thought that when I booked the event that the owner was doing it, and usually that means that gratuity is already included in the price.  So, its just more money than I had budgeted for...

Good Luck and Let me know what you think!!

I used the dj company for uplighting and dealt with Ryan also.  He was a pleasure to work with and was very informative.

I used The DJ Company for my wedding and they were great.  I dealt with Ryan for most of the planning but had asked for Tom to DJ the event because we saw him at my companies holiday party and loved him.  In terms of a review, they were great.  They had everyone up dancing, they were easy to work with, kept in touch with us throughout our planning and walked us through the entire reception.  They made sure everyon had a great time and all of my requests were played.  In terms of the PP, we had read on these boards that you typically tip the DJ, therefore we were expecting to provide gratuity to the DJs.  With regards to the meal, we actually didn't pay for our vendors to eat, because our catering hall didnt offer us a break on the price, so if we wanted our vendors to eat, it was going to cost about $140 per vendor!!! (Something we couldn't afford)  But all-in-all, I had a very positive experience and would reccomend them.
