Surf Club, New Rochelle Reviews

Hello everyone,

I am getting married soon and the Surf Club is at the top of my list for booking right now and I would like to know if anyone has had their wedding there or possibly attended any weddings there. What was your experience like? Is the food and service any good?

    I commented in your other thread .. i was at a wedding there before the rennovations so I don't know what changes were made plus when I was venue hunting we didn't go there because it was way out of our budget.  The wedding I was at there was nice enough but nothing extraordinary.  Only thing I really liked was that it was at the holiday time and the staircase was decorated when you walked in - THAT was beautiful.

    everything is pretty much changed. the rooms, the staircase, the front entrance....it's all new. there's even tv's in the bathrooms now lol

    food is very hit or miss. ive been there for 5 weddings, and two were great, three were not so good. i went there last july to check it out post-renovations. it was a little tacky for me, so i went with glen island instead. a lot of people i have talked to have really liked the changes so it depends on your personal tastes. the only thing that really turned me off was when we visited, we asked the guy (forgot his name now) about some of the terrible reviews online about the food and he said basically said something along the lines of "yeah, sometimes the food doesnt turn out as good as other times". i was like WHAAA? and you're trying to get me to book here???

    hey,just wondering if anyone has any recent meaning, this year about the surf club my daughter thinks it is a beautiful place just concerned about some of the reviews we would appreciate any input!
